The Children’s Fire at Hidden Hearth

Why we gather

Community is the
Medicine of our Time

That's our mantra. We believe community is something we actively create. By bringing people together in a space that feels safe, welcoming and open, something genuine has room to grow.

Taking place at the edge of Samhain, Hidden Hearth lands at a natural turning point in the year: a time for reflection, for letting go of the high energy of summer, and for stepping into a slower, more intentional rhythm as the seasons shift.

asked questions.

When and where is Hidden Hearth?

Hidden Hearth takes place from 9–11 October 2026 at Lisnavagh House, Rathvilly, County Carlow, R93 PX61.

Is Hidden Hearth a sober festival?

Yes. Hidden Hearth is a sober, land-based gathering rooted in presence, creativity, community and connection to the land. It's a space for Ireland's growing sober-curious scene to meet on common ground.

What happens across the weekend?

Two music stages with a mix of live acts and DJs and lush, connected dancefloors. An indoor wellness area for yoga, breathwork and meditation, a workshop space for circles and classes, talks and discussions in the library, fires to gather around, a sauna to reset and nourishing food all weekend.

Can I come on my own?

Absolutely. Whether you're coming on your own or with friends, there's a sense of peace here that makes it easy to settle in. There's no pressure to be anything other than yourself.

Is the festival family-friendly?

Yes. Hidden Hearth welcomes all generations, with the Óigíní area, forest school, creative workshops and experiences for younger festival-goers.
